Piero Vitelli

Piero’s early career has provided him with a solid base on which to build his specialism and develop his skill: to model and facilitate excellence in communication. Before 1995 Piero worked as a West Indies based yachtsman, a butcher, a professional sound engineer and an actor with three years professional training in the Stanislavski method; from which such aspects as Keith Johnstone’s seminal work on Improvisation, Yat Malmgren’s Character technique for expressing an inner state, and Catherine Clouzot’s transformation exercises he considers fundamental and essential to his way of working.

Since 1995 he has chosen to focus on the relationship individuals have with their resources, and what happens to them when we are in a heightened state. He helps people to develop their natural ability to work effectively in the personal, interpersonal and group settings. Often taking the lead in presenting programs, his natural enthusiasm and engaging manner ensures key messages are embedded in the audience. He holds the belief that as well as focussing on the skills we need, we can become more effective through a better understanding of the behaviours, preferences and choices that support and define these skills. This approach ensures the personalisation and understanding of increased self-awareness that will lead to a longer lasting momentum of development.

Prompted by necessity in 2020, Piero stepped into the world of online training delivery and quickly discovered that his background in technical theatre and performance gave him an ideal blend of skills with which to not just design online content with excellent production values but also deliver them with the impact needed for them to land on screen. Building on this success, he has since been investing his time and resources to meet the very specific challenges posed by the long-term need to provide hybrid training sessions that level - as much as possible - the playing field between face-to-face and online work.
