Fairfield County Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta
The Fairfield County Alumnae Chapter (FCAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on December 1, 1979, by 31 enthusiastic and committed women who were determined to address the needs of the Fairfield County, CT area. From its inception and under the leadership of our first chapter president, Roxana Kelly, its legacy of service to Fairfield County was clearly established. Today, the chapter is comprised of over 80 accomplished and committed women with outstanding leadership, planning, and execution skills who dedicate their talent and professional expertise to Delta Sigma Theta’s national Five Point programmatic thrusts: Educational Development, Economic Development, Physical & Mental Health, Political Awareness & Involvement, and International Awareness & Involvement. To date, FCAC has donated over $300,000 to support community programs and college scholarships.
Serving the Fairfield County area, FCAC is committed to social action and community programming that uplifts, empowers, and educates the community. Our programs include: Delta Academy, Delta GEMS, and Delta EMBODI, social action programs (voter registration drives, letter writing campaigns to state and regional legislators, health fairs, and backpack programs for elementary school children) and more.
