Ahead With English and the BCT partner together to create the Thursday AWE &BCT Therwill playgroup. The playgroup is held at the Ahead with English school. (5 Känelmattweg, Therwil 4106).
Each week you can expect a playgroup with plenty of toys and activities for young children ages 0-5 with their parents. The playgroup runs from 9:30-11:30, but we are very understanding if you need to arrive late or leave early to accommodate your little one's schedule. Kids are encouraged to enjoy the toys and play freely. There is also a story and singing time at the end of the playgroup (about 11:15-11:30). We ask that you bring a light snack for your child. Additionally, once a month AWE features a Messy Morning. These Messy Mornings are led by an Ahead With English teacher with fun activities, crafts and songs around a theme for you and your child to enjoy. https://www.aheadwithenglish.com/ahead-with-english-playgroups-and-m
LOCATION: By tram, take the number 10 to the Therwil Zentrum stop. By bus, take the 62 or 64 to the Therwil Zentrum stop.
PARKING: Parking is not possible in front of the Therwil building - 3 hr parking is available at the Gemeinde or the church behind the school. 1 hr parking is possible at the sports field opposite.
BCT Playgroup Rules
1. Please support the BCT. Non-members are welcome to 2 free visits per playgroup. Afterwards please purchase a membership or pay 5 CHF per visit.
2. Please register for the playgroup via Eventbrite ahead of time. This helps us stay within room capacity limits.
3. Photo Policy: Avoid taking photos with other children in the background. Do not post photos of other children on your personal social media accounts, WhatsApp chats, etc.
4. You may come late or leave early as suits your little one’s schedule.
5. Tidy a few toys before you leave. The BCT is volunteer run.
6. Eat only in designated areas.
7. Remove your shoes upon entry to the play areas
8. Take dirty nappies out with you (Tues. Thurs., and Fri. groups)
9. Parents are responsible for their own child.
BCT playgroups should be a safe place for all children. If a child behaves in a way that is harmful or dangerous to others, the BCT reserves the right to suspend the child from BCT playgroups as deemed appropriate by a BCT committee member.
Cancellation Policy
Please note that the event is subject to cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather, illness, or other emergencies. We will make every effort to notify attendees via email as soon as possible if a cancellation becomes necessary. Please make sure you provide a valid email address. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
