About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

An interactive session blending documentary storytelling with engaging panel discussions on how the path to Belém can be a turning point from agriculture that drives deforestation and human rights violations to regenerative agro-business models with local land stewards as key partners (regenerative as in practices that go beyond sustainability to actively restore and enhance natural ecosystems while maintaining profitable agricultural production).

This session features:

  • Perspectives of different key players that are reversing deforestation whilst growing nature-positive, social and economic returns
  • Examples of transforming food systems
  • An engaging discussion around the question of how we can create thriving ecosystems where both people and nature can flourish
  • Remarks by Thomas Elliott, CEO of Restor and Carolle Alarcon, the Executive Director of Coalizao Brasil
  • Excerpts from a Documentary
  • Two panel discussions featuring knowledgeable experts, including Alexandra Brand, Executive VP, Sustainability and Corporate Affairs of Syngenta and Prithvi Naik, Chief Sustainability Officer of Nzatu
