About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Hibsen are an Irish contemporary folk music ensemble formed by folk artists Gráinne Hunt and Jim Murphy. They released their debut album The Stern Task of Living on May 26, 2023 (https://hibsen.bandcamp.com/album/the-stern-task-of-living). The album was inspired by James Joyce’s landmark short story collection Dubliners. Each of the 15 songs on the album is named after the short story on which it is based.

Hibsen will be coming to Switzerland during Ireland Week 2025, for three exclusive concerts, to mark the 40th anniversary of the Zurich James Joyce Foundation.

The event is sponsored by the Embassy of Ireland, Switzerland, the Max Geilinger-Stiftung, and Tourism Ireland.
