About this event

When students develop customized solutions to the everyday challenges faced by people with disabilities, they truly realize the potential of their social impact. Discover various productions from an EPFL course that allows master's students to work directly on specific projects in collaboration with HackaHealth. This association also organizes 48-hour hackathons in which designers, developers, healthcare professionals and engineers work together with disabled people to prototype targeted devices.

A conference with Alice Bruel and Alec Chevrot

Alice Bruel is a PhD student at the Biorobotic Laboratory and Neurorestore at EPFL. She studies the role of spinal circuits in human motor control through neurobiomechanical modeling. In parallel, Alice is a member of the HackaHealth association, where she coordinates the Assistive Technologies Challenge course, the MAKE project for EPFL master students.

Alec Chevrot is an alumnus of EPFL, where he studied Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Technologies. In 2019, he joined HackaHealth and co-created the Assistive Technologies Challenge in 2020, where he continues to play a key role in the organization, currently serving as president for two years. Alongside his academic pursuits, Alec co-founded macu4, a company dedicated to developing innovative prosthetic and orthotic solutions for upper -limbs.
