About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

"The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." – Rumi

Join us for a transformative half-day retreat focused on the theme of "Letting Go", perfectly aligned with the transition from autumn to winter. Led by certified SOMA Breath instructor Natallia Zaremba, this immersive experience will blend SOMA Breathwork, movement, and a music-healing meditation.

What is Breathwork?

Breathwork isn't just about breathing; it's about integrating wellbeing into everyday life, especially in work environments. Breathwork involves controlled breathing techniques that improve mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing by influencing the body's physiological and emotional states.

What is the SOMA Breath Method?

SOMA Breath is a holistic system of Pranayama techniques tailored to suit various workshops and individual needs. This transformative method has garnered global attention, including Cambridge University, and is designed to enhance total wellbeing and transformation.

SOMA Breath, recently highlighted in Cambridge University's breathwork study, is now being advocated for use in clinical settings to support mental health patients in the UK.

Benefits of SOMA Breathwork

SOMA Breath techniques, often referred to as the "toolbox of the inner pharmacy," offer numerous benefits:

  • Reduces stress, anxiety, and depression
  • Awakens dormant parts of the brain
  • Improves sleep
  • Enhances creativity and problem-solving
  • Creates heightened states of consciousness
  • Stimulates stem cell rejuvenation for anti-aging and longevity
  • Improves oxygen efficiency and brain function
  • Lowers heart rate and blood pressure

What to Expect

This Breathwork Journey is designed to help you reconnect with yourself, nurture self-love, and cultivate compassion. A music-healing meditation, combined with powerful visualisation and intention setting, will enhance the transformative benefits of the breathwork session.

Dagmar, Artist & Life Coach, CH

“This week we hosted a wonderful SOMA breathwork session at our Lean In health and wellbeing circle meeting. Natallia, certified SOMA Breath instructor and Lean In circle member, walked us through the benefits of deep and controlled breathing, which include engaging the parasympathetic nervous system, bringing in more oxygen, letting go of stress and slowing down, being fully present. We engaged in pranayama breathing exercises, enjoyed thirty minutes of pure stillness after a long working day and experienced first-hand the benefits of belly breathing. I personally loved the way Natallia led the session and plan to incorporate this practice into my mindfulness routines! Many thanks, Natallia!”

Important Information

  • Rhythmic breathing is beneficial for everyone, but breath retention should be avoided in some instances, including:
  • Severe/ critical diseases or infections if they impair your ability to breathe.
  • Severe uncontrolled hypertension (usually after a heart attack)
  • Organ failure or late-stage terminal illness
  • Pregnancy
  • Epilepsy, a pacemaker or irregular heartbeat (except your doctor permits you)
  • Some conditions, e.g. tinnitus and hernia, can be aggravated by the breath hold, but they are not common; in this circumstance, we recommend minimising the breath hold duration.
